My speciality

Lawn Mowing & Lawn Care

Lawns are my thing — and I take them seriously. Proper, meticulous mowing and honest organic care across Taunton, Minehead, Bridgwater and West Somerset. The sort of lawn the neighbours notice.

🌱 How I cut a lawn

I'm fussy about lawns — and proud of it. No two are the same, so I work to what yours actually needs. On a full cut that can mean:

Blow clear Trim the edges Cut the edges Full cut Second cut, other way Blowing down as I go Final tidy

Where the lawn suits it, I'll double-cut in different directions for that proper striped, even finish. The kind of lawn you don't want anyone walking on. 😉

🐝
Organic, chemical-free care

I make my own plant feeds the natural way, brewed from plants and rainwater — rich in everything a lawn and garden needs. No nasty man-made chemicals. Completely safe for your children, pets and the bees. Honest, organic care for your garden.

🌿 Organic feeds available as an add-on — just ask
🔄
Most customers go weekly. A regular cut keeps your lawn thicker, neater and healthier all year round — and you never have to lift a finger. Looked after, sorted.

The Lawn Care Round

A handful of gardens I look after properly — not a cut and go, but a lawn kept at the height you want it, all season.

📏
Your height, held
You pick the finish. I cut often enough to never take more than a third of the blade — the rule that keeps a lawn thick instead of scalped.
🌤️
First slot of the day
Dew off, ground at its driest, and the rest of my day free to work around you.
🌱
Whatever it needs
In a wet May that means cutting every few days. In a dry August there may be nothing to cut, so the visit goes on weeding, edging and feeding instead.

I only take a few of these at a time. A fixed early slot only means something while there are few enough of them that everyone gets a genuinely early visit — so places open up as and when, rather than on demand.

If it's full when you ask, I'll put you on the list and keep your lawn on a weekly round at a height that genuinely holds — around 45mm through the growing season. When a place comes free, you're first to know.

Steve has been very reliable and hard working. He listens carefully to the information about tasks for his visit and works hard to achieve them in the given time. He has good subject knowledge and is always helpful and courteous.

Common questions

How often should I have my lawn cut?
Through the growing season (spring to autumn) most lawns do best with a weekly or fortnightly cut. Regular cutting keeps the grass thick, healthy and easy to manage. I run regular rounds across Taunton, Minehead and Bridgwater, so I can keep yours on a steady schedule.
Do you offer regular weekly lawn mowing?
Yes — regular weekly and fortnightly lawn mowing is what I do most. Most of my customers are on a regular round, which keeps their lawn looking its best all year and means they never have to think about it. One-off cuts are available too if you'd prefer.
What areas do you cover?
I cover Taunton (Mondays), Minehead (Wednesdays) and Bridgwater (Fridays), plus the rural TA4 area and villages in between. I also travel out to Exmoor and the coast for larger jobs by arrangement. Not sure if I reach you? Just ask.
How much does lawn mowing cost?
It depends on the size of your lawn and how often you'd like it cut — regular visits work out more cost-effective than one-offs. Request a free quote and I'll get an exact price back to you by email or WhatsApp, no obligation.
Do I need to be home when you visit?
Not at all. As long as I can access the garden, you don't need to be in. Many of my regular customers are out at work when I call — I just get on with it and leave everything neat.
What happens to the grass clippings and waste?
All clippings are tidied and cleared as part of the cut. Larger green waste from hedge work or clearances is chipped on site where possible, or removed if you'd prefer — just let me know.
Are your lawn feeds safe for pets and children?
Completely. I make my own organic plant feeds the natural way, from plants and rainwater, with no man-made chemicals. They're safe for your children, pets and the bees, and they're a healthier way to feed a lawn. Organic feeds are available as an add-on to any visit.
